You’re My Hostage
You’re my hostage,
But I’m your prisoner.
In our own little world, we’re happy here.
We fall together wanting to disappear.
I want to be closer than close.
I know I am deeper than deep.
Let me crawl inside your veins.
Make it so I’m always in your brain.
It’s not me to be mean,
But you’re all I’ve ever wanted.
Just let me hold you.
Nobody else can come through.
You’re just like me,
And I like you.
We have no choice, it’s fate.
Eternity together we await.
Hell can’t keep us apart.
Heaven will keep us together.
It’s going to be you and you alone.
Never able to hide, I see through you like silicone.
We call it love,
And you’re my hostage.
I Am A Cat
I am a cat
But I don’t really nap
My nails are long
And I like to sing songs
I call out when I’m glad
I call out when I’m sad
Need attention now
GO AWAY MEOW
I curl in a ball
I am very small
Sleeping in late
You die if you awake
Find me on the couch
I’ll never leave the house
For the most part, I don’t fight
But if you bother me I’ll bite
Yes, I am easily entertained
I like sparkly shiny things, I can’t explain
I’m soft and warm
Again, I bite, be warned
I am a cat
But I don’t really nap
Mashed Potatoes Are Good
Mashed potatoes are good
French Fries are better
Even in sunshine
Or gloomy weather
I can sit on the couch
And eat them all day long
Potato wedges are yummy
But shoestrings are just wrong
Wrong in a good way
They’re my kryptonite
Not once will hear me say
“No thank you I’m alright”
I tried to give them up once
For forty long days
You better know I cheated
Dipped em in ketchup and mayonnaise
One day this salty snack will be my enemy
Disagreeing with my body, they’ll mock me
But until then I’ll keep eating
For this food, I’ll never take a knee
Mashes potatoes are good
But French Fries are just better.
